Gentiana is an owner operated nursery in the true sense of the word. All our stock is propagated on site and in an open air north facing aspect our aim is to grow plants that will settle into your garden as quickly as possible. We do not grow any of our plants in artificial conditions.
The nursery is situated in a very beautiful part of the Dandenong ranges and is surrounded with gardens where many of the plants available can be seen growing in a garden setting. On the nature strip we grow a wide selection of large and hardy perennials which receive no artificial irrigation.
Mostly we grow perennials and rock garden plants but there is also a small selection of shrubs that would be suitable for the rock garden. We do not grow latest release or pvr plants in fact we try to grow things that would probably not be available in your local garden centre. Most of the plants for sale have been propagated from the gardens on the property so we are able to give you detailed and informed information on their growing requirements |
